I saw a sign that said this at WV Power headquarters today. If you’re not from around here, you might think I’m referring to the name of a utility company, but no, I’m referring to a baseball team. (Worst name ever – they used to be the Charleston Alley Cats.) Anyway, the sign reminded me that I wanted to post a link to the live webcam that shows the construction progress on the new downtown stadium. I posted a link way back in September, but it was just a big hole in the ground then. Now you can actually see the diamond and they have some seats installed. Exciting.
Oh, and speaking of that old post, I notice that I said then that the Alley Cats were affiliated with the Blue Jays, but I see on the new WV Power web site that they are affiliated with the Milwaukee Brewers. Was I wrong back in September or did this change along with the horrible name change? By the way, what the hell is the new mascot going to be, a fucking capitol dome? Give me a break.
